Recipe instructions for a Sangria:

  • There are many ways to make sangria, and we encourage to you experiment to find the right mix to suit your taste! Here's one of many recipe instructions. This recipe serves 4 people. You can serve it in goblets, wine glasses, or whatever you may have. We recommend using Spanish wine and brandy.

    1. Starting with the superfine (caster) sugar, pour all ingredients, except soda and fruit, into a pitcher or punch bowl.
    2. Stir to dissolve the sugar.
    3. Leave it to marinate in the refrigerator for a few hours before serving.
    4. When guests arrive, add the slices of fruit (half each of lemon, orange, lime, and apple).
    5. Let the fruit soak up the sangria before serving.
    6. Add large ice cubes and soda water (optional), and serve.

*We recommend using fresh juices whenever possible.

    Enjoy your Sangria!

Cocktail History:

  • There are many versions of Sangria, a classic Spanish party drink. Sangria is the Spanish word for bleeding, and comes from sangre, meaning the color of blood. It is drunk at many festivals with much theatricality-it is poured directly into the mouth from a long-spouted jug.
