Country of Origin: Germany

Ingredient: Liqueur, herbal

Website Link: http://www.jagermeister.com/

Description:

  • Jägermeister is a strong, bitter, herb flavored liqueur. In Germany it's a kräuterlikör, or "herbs liqueur", since it is sweet, rather than classified as a bitter (because, well, it's not actually bitter!). Jägermeister's recipe is closely guarded secret.

It is the principal product of Mast-Jägermeister AG, headquartered in Wolfenbüttel, south of Braunschweig, Germany.

History:

  • The Jägermeister herbal liqueur developed by Curt Mast in 1934 was introduced into the German market in 1935. Jägermeister’s trade mark is the "stag’s head with the beaming cross', which perished in the Hubertus legend.

Taste:

  • Herbal and sweet taste.
